Mental Health Family Support

Family/Caregiver Support Program

This program, established by the Mental Health Association of Alameda County, helps families and others who are caring for someone with a mental illness. Staff can provide information on the mental health system, lend books and videos, and help answer questions. This is not an Alameda County Medical Center service, but is hosted on the John George Psychiatric Pavilion campus for the convenience of our patient families.

The Family Support Specialist can be seen at John George Psychiatric Pavilion Monday through Thursday, from 5:30 to 7:00 pm.

To leave a message for the Support Specialist, call (510) 835-0188.
