The Highland Domestic Violence Program provides support for victims of domestic violence. Services are listed below. For more information about any of these services please call (510) 437-4949 or (510) 437-4688.
- Crisis Intervention–Initial contact by social workers or other health practitioners to alleviate or reduce crises leading to domestic violence.
- Advocacy–The program assists victims of domestic violence by intervening on their behalf with other systems such as law enforcement, the judiciary, medical, welfare, or educational systems.
- Counseling–Face to face counseling or counseling over the phone provided by social workers.
- Information/Referral–Provision of information on resources or services available in the community and throughout the Alameda County Medical Center system.
- Support Groups–We offer court mandated anger management weekly classes for both men and women. We also offer weekly support sessions for women who are or have been in abusive relationships. Groups offer support, empowerment, and safety.
