ACMC Newsletters
Alameda County Medical Center publishes newsletters for the community at-large as well as our stakeholders and staff. In this section, you can download of our bi-annual Community Heartbeat newsletter, which is mailed to 20,000+ households in the neighborhoods where our six facilities are located. The Community Heartbeat features general interest articles about our innovative services, community activities and outstanding providers.
Also available in this section are copies of the Pillars of Success newsletter, which were distributed to community stakeholders as well as ACMC physicians and staff. Pillars of Success focuses on the Medical Center's six core goals or pillars and our progress toward meeting these ambitious goals.

ACMC: Serving the Community Locally & Internationally
The Alameda County Medical
Centers Department of Emergency
Medicine had already been contributing
to international health
before the Haiti earthquake
struck. The Highland Network
for International Health provides
opportunities for Emergency
Medicine residents who want to
participate in international humanitarian
relief efforts. Highland
developed an ongoing relationship
with Hospital San Carlos
in rural Chiapas, Mexico, and
fourth year residents were offered
the opportunity to do an international
health rotation there.
