“The Chaplain and the Doctor,” a new documentary filmed at the Wilma Chan Highland Hospital Campus, premiered this week at the San Francisco Film Festival.
The film features Alameda Health System (AHS) Chaplain Betty Clark and AHS doctor Jessica Zitter, who also directed it. They spoke to KQED’s health reporter Lesley McClurg in a thoughtful, wide-ranging interview on KQED’s Forum. Listen to it here.
“I hold their hand, I try to make a connection. I ask them what lifts their spirits and whatever it is they tell me, that’s where I go,” said Clark.
